We will where necessary use our favoured specialist sub-contractors, including stained glass specialists, architectural conservators and decorators. Our projects often include incorporating energy efficiency measures into historical buildings.

Specialist Joinery
Pickford Builders benefit from the use of the specialist joinery workshop within our sister company Bakers of Danbury Ltd, which meets all of the joinery requirements for the company. Highly skilled craftsmen offer specialist woodcarving, architectural joinery as well as a full design and manufacture service for high quality joinery and furniture. We can provide advice on construction techniques and materials, and produce design drawings for approval.

Specialist Stone Masonry
When conserving or repairing historic buildings, stone replacement requires a detailed knowledge of the stone involved. For this we benefit from using our sister company Collins and Curtis Masonry Ltd. Established over 90 years, their dedicated craftsmen combine traditional methods of masonry with new techniques, to provide the highest quality stone products. We also benefit from a greater control over our supply chain, preventing delays caused by changes to stone masonry requirements.
