• Solution = Pickford Builders recently completed a £1.8m rebuild project at Cecil Jones Academy in Southend.We originally carried out the make safe works after the school suffered a fire over a year ago, in which they lost 22 rooms and a library.

We were later chosen to carry out the whole subsequent rebuilding project. The rebuild consisted of the reinstatement of the roof and first floor, new cladding and brickwork following extensive fire damage, 18 new classrooms, 2 new offices, the refurbishment of 7 existing rooms, complete new M&E system throughout and a new door entry and camera security system.

Our site manager, Andy Nunn and the team have completed the project on time and to a high standard. The Academy are very happy with the results and look forward to using the new facilities from January 2018.
